Service
During my time at Penn State Behrend, I was able to participate in the Alternative Spring Break Program. Below are some snippets of my experience on these trips. In 2025, we went to Fort Myers, FL in 2024, we were in Puerto Rico, and in 2023, we were in Fort Myers, FL.
I have learned so many things on these trips, including how to use a drill, create a drainage system in the jungle, and paint quickly and delicately. The most important thing I learned was how to build relationships and connections along the way. I will never forget the difference our work made in these people’s lives. Natural disasters can rupture communities for a long time, and being able to help out was one of the most valuable experiences for me.
Cheer & Dance
I am very grateful to have been a part of the Penn State Behrend Cheer & Dance program. In 2021, I started out as a freshman, joining the Competitive Cheer Team and Game Day Cheer Team. During 2022-23 and 2023-24, I continued my journey on the Competitive Cheer Team. In my final year (2024-25), I made a last-second decision to try out for the Game Day Dance Team. That was the best decision I could have made. I will never forget my time on these teams.
